Operation- PPR rents professional photographic equipment. It is the responsibility of the renter to know how to operate the equipment they rent. PPR does not accept any liability due to the lack of knowledge of the users. Instruction manuals and basic operating directions from our service staff are available.

Deposit- A deposit for the full replacement cost of the equipment is required before the rental equipment can be picked up or shipped. The deposit can be secured by a check or credit card. A certificate of insurance may be accepted in lieu of a deposit providing that the certificate shows PPR as the certificate holder and the certificate has a value equal to or greater than the value of the rental equipment and is received by PPR prior to the time of the rental.

Insurance- The renter accepts full liability for any lost and/or damage to the equipment. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the renter. Proof of adequate coverage for the full replacement value of the equipment may be required prior to the time of the rental.

Maintenance and Malfunction- Equipment is inspected and tested prior to rental. While our maintenance program prevents many problems, we cannot anticipate equipment failure or field conditions. We recommend you and/or your assistants inspect and test the equipment before you leave PPR. In the case of malfunction, mark the equipment and describe the difficulty or circumstances in which it occurred. When operator error causes damage to the equipment, repairs will be charged to the renter. Lost rental time while the equipment is in repair is also charged to the renter.

Loss or Theft- Rental will be charged on equipment that is lost or stolen until PPR is reimbursed for the replacement of equipment. Replacement cost is based on the manufacturers current model and price at the time of the loss, plus shipping and taxes when applicable.

Bulbs and Batteries- Spare lamps are provided upon request. There is no charge for spare lamps provided burned out lamps are returned. A charge will be made for any missing lamps, broken lamps or filaments or excessive burnout. Spare batteries are not supplied as they are considered an expendable. We recommend that you buy extra batteries to maintain proper performance of the equipment.

Out of Town Rentals- Billing for out of town rentals starts when the equipment leaves PPR and ends upon the return of the equipment. Equipment is shipped at the customer's expense on the day you select. Equipment is to be returned prepaid and marked for delivery to PPR. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers. In the event of such delays, the renter is still responsible for all transportation and rental charges. If it is critical that you receive equipment by a certain date, we suggest shipping the equipment at least forty eight hours in advance and by a guaranteed service.

Out of Country Rentals- Equipment must not be taken out of the Continental US without prior permission in writing from an authorized official of PPR. If equipment is permitted by PPR to be taken out of the country, renters are responsible for registration with US Foreign Customs. No rental allowance will be made for time lost due to improper documentation, impounding or delays of equipment by Customs for any reason.

Delivery- PPR does not provide delivery service. If the renter arranges for a courier or assistant to pick up their rental, PPR must be notified in advance and the renter accepts all responsibility for the equipment from the time the it leaves PPR.

Reservations and Cancellations- It is recommended that you make your reservations for equipment as far in advance a possible to help assure its availability for the dates that you need to rent. We cannot guarantee availability for short notice or walk-ins. Walk-ins may have to wait until our technicians are finished with currently due reserved equipment before they are able to put together equipment for a walk-in customer. Please notify PPR when you have a cancellation. We may need the equipment to fill someone else's order. Failure to cancel your order may result in a half day rental charge.

Extended Rental Rates- Weekly, weekend, and monthly rental rates are applied only when the rental is paid in advance. If you have a rental and wish to extend the time, you need to pay at the time of the extension, not upon the return of the equipment. If it is not convenient for you to come in, we can accept a credit card over the phone.
